Terms & Conditions

Early access · Version 5 · Updated 23 October 2026

These terms apply to the Mottoapp early-access website, operated by Marcel Gheorghe, trading as Mottoapp, in Ireland, including use by testers. Read the Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled.

Early access

Mottoapp is being tested. Features may change, outages and defects may occur, and availability is not guaranteed. Keep your own copy of important information. Testing does not automatically activate a paid subscription. Any payment requires a separate checkout showing the price, renewal interval and offer conditions.

Eligibility

Early access is restricted to people aged 18 and over. Confirm your age honestly. You must be able to enter into the agreement and, for a Business account, be authorised to represent the business. Contact the owner if an account is held by someone who does not meet this rule.

Your account

Provide accurate details, protect your sign-in access and use only accounts you are entitled to control. Business users must be authorised to represent their business. Do not impersonate another person or business. Report suspected unauthorised access through private feedback in your profile.

Community and business rules

Private accounts may recommend places to visit. Business advertising requires a Business account. Each business account may create one business page, including a draft, and publish offers linked to that page. Offers must clearly state eligibility, dates, prices and restrictions. Businesses are responsible for their information and honouring their advertised offers.

Do not post unlawful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, fraudulent or misleading content, spam, or another person’s private information without permission. Do not infringe intellectual property rights, bypass access controls or misuse the service. Use reporting and blocking tools where available. See Reporting and moderation for illegal-content notices, contact information, decisions and requests for review. People without an account can also report by email.

Your content and sharing

You retain ownership of content you upload. You give Mottoapp permission to store, display and technically adapt it as necessary to provide the features and sharing audience you choose. This permission is limited to operating the service, subject to necessary legal retention and other participants’ message copies.

Published business pages, promotions, places and bike listings may appear automatically in Discover. Other members may reshare published items through supported features. Check an audience before sharing and do not publish sensitive route, home or contact details unnecessarily.

Community ratings and trip ideas

Place ratings reflect members’ reported experiences, not inspections or verified accessibility certifications. Only rate places you have visited, skip aspects you do not know, and do not rate a business you own. Check pet policies, parking, steps, paths and specific mobility requirements with the venue. Two-day trip ideas are editable shortlists rather than optimised itineraries or promises that every stop fits your time or abilities. Starter suggestions are identified; where displayed, community ranking uses overall-rating averages for places with at least three overall ratings.

Road safety and emergencies

Mottoapp is a community and planning service, not an emergency response, tracking or guaranteed navigation service. Check road conditions, route suitability, licences, insurance and local rules yourself. Never operate the app while riding. In an emergency call 112 or 999; a “Rider in trouble” post does not contact emergency services. Notifications may be delayed or missed.

Listings, meet-ups and external services

Members and businesses are responsible for their own listings, transactions, events and conduct. Mottoapp does not inspect bikes or guarantee sellers, offers, businesses or routes. Bike listings identify private or business sellers where that information is supplied. A purchase from a private individual does not carry the same consumer protections as a purchase from a trader. The seller is responsible for the sale and its legal obligations. Mottoapp currently provides advertising and messaging rather than taking payment for motorcycles. Verify details independently before paying or meeting. External maps and websites have their own terms.

Basic business listings and optional upgrades

Submitting a basic directory listing, requesting a verified ownership claim and updating the basic details of a claimed business page do not start a paid subscription. Unclaimed listings are not managed by the named business and do not imply endorsement. Claims require review, a Business account and compliance with the one-page rule. Offers, promotions and performance statistics are optional membership features, subject to complimentary or early-access arrangements shown in your account. When paid access ends, basic listing details remain available and business promotions are hidden. Choose and confirm a separate checkout to activate a paid upgrade.

Business introductory offer

Every eligible new business can activate three calendar months free, followed by €4.99/month in months 4–12 and €9.99/month from month 13, or €99.99/year from month 13 if annual renewal is selected. This ongoing offer is separate from the first 50 business founding badges. One introductory offer per business; opening another account does not create a new entitlement. Returning subscribers pay their displayed standard rate. The trial starts only after separate subscription activation when billing is available. Free testing, account creation and ownership approval do not start the trial.

Membership and payments

Your accepted checkout determines the applicable membership price, trial, introductory period and renewal interval. Monthly and annual memberships renew as displayed until cancelled. Use Profile → Account & membership → Stop subscription renewal, or the Privacy & account help page, with the payment portal where available; stopping renewal prevents the next monthly or annual renewal while access continues until the displayed period ends. A downloadable confirmation is available after an in-app renewal cancellation is confirmed. Existing-subscription cancellation controls do not depend on new checkout being open or acceptance of updated membership terms. A trial or founding badge does not promise permanent free access unless your account expressly says so.

For online paid memberships, consumers generally have a 14-day statutory withdrawal period from conclusion of the contract, subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. This differs from stopping renewal. Contact Demeyeapps@gmail.com with your account email, subscription reference and clear statement that you wish to withdraw. You may use the model notice below but do not have to. Where a withdrawal right applies, eligible refunds will be made within the applicable statutory period. Starting an ongoing service does not by itself remove every withdrawal right. Nothing here removes statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights. No new charge is authorised merely by reading these terms or taking part in free testing. “Rider in trouble” posts and replies remain accessible without an active subscription.

Model withdrawal notice

To Marcel Gheorghe, Mottoapp, Demeyeapps@gmail.com: I give notice that I withdraw from my Mottoapp membership contract. Account email: [your email]. Subscription reference: [if available]. Date the contract was agreed: [date]. Your name and address: [details]. Date of this notice: [date].

Marcel Gheorghe trades as Mottoapp as an individual operator in Ireland. The business contact details appear below. Any applicable registration and tax details still need review before paid activation. Billing remains disabled. Online withdrawal, durable acknowledgement, refund handling, payment testing and the required pre-contract information must complete review before paid checkout is enabled. Stopping renewal is not a substitute for a statutory withdrawal request.

Moderation, ending access and requests

We may restrict content or accounts for breaches, safety or legal reasons, acting proportionately and providing an explanation where appropriate. You can see in-app report progress and content decisions through your profile and request review. See Reporting and moderation for the process and email alternative. You can stop using the service and request account erasure as described in the Privacy Policy. Existing messages may remain with other participants, subject to data protection rights.

Responsibility and your legal rights

We will use reasonable care in providing Mottoapp. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the accuracy of member content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory consumer or data protection rights. Irish law applies, without removing any mandatory protections or courts available to you under applicable consumer law.
